After much ado, the Montgomery Kettle – now the Backcountry Boiler – is available for pre-order! Details can be found on the Pre-order! page above. I also set up an About page that is still evolving, and between the two there’s a lot of new information. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to give me a holler. The numbers are limited and they’re going fast, so don’t miss out on the opportunity to take advantage of some “unconventional” pricing.
As we speak, the local spinning shop is working up metal versions of the forms I’ve been working with. Once that’s done, we’ll be fine tuning their process to get it as light as possible. As they progress, I’m going to see if I can get some action shots of the the boilers in process.
In addition to updates on how your future gear is being made, over the next few weeks I’ll also be posting more about the process I used to get the boiler to this point. It has been an exciting ride and I hope that by sharing more about what I did, I can encourage others to do some crazy things in their living rooms and on their back porches.
